I do not know how to reply to the comments on my diaries, thus reducing the conversation to a statement and an answer. No further debate has been figured out by me. I recently got great deal of comments on a piece I wrote on Russia sand Ukraine. I did not see it as a pro Putin piece as much as a criticism of throwing out elected leaders, even if really bad. If they lose an election and stay ( common enough) that is a very different story and requires severe action. I mean, they had the Orange revolution because of distrust of elections but lost control of the government through the electoral process. Could it be that they actually are out voted by the pro Yanukovitch faction? Of course in the USA, if you have the money you can undo elections, ignore elections and the Koch Bros make Russians look like amateurs. Putin looks like a dangerous man, but to much of the world, so did our President Bush . If I am imperialistically 'denying the will of the Ukrainian people" the next election should be a cinch right? Even the USA, where Rove publicly showed his surprise when the fix didn't work in Ohio, a landslide eelction cannot be rigged or denied ( close elections can be)so do no tell me that any elections under Yanukovitch would be unfree. Oh, and in a specific reply; US Nationalists can be amazingly ignorant of the history of this nation. I was assuming Ukrainian Nationalists are not all that different. I do not mean to minimize anyone suffering.
