This is another meta-diary about the President Obama "haters" and the "lovers" and everyone in-between. I know a million other people have already discussed this but I wish to add my two cents to the pot (is that the saying). First of all why don't we stop insulting each other! What are "Haters" if not idealists or dreamers and what are "lovers" but realists and pragmatists. Of course we are neither all idealist or all realist but somewhere on a spectrum. We can all agree that President Obama has done what we generally consider to be good things and that we wish he would do more on many issues. Lets always remember that almost no one is out to oppose or support President Obama's position on every issue.
I feel like President Obama has come so far, like landing on the Moon, but I also feel like he has untapped potential, he could be landing among the stars. We must accept this duality, so much progress, so much to go and get on with our lives and activism. No matter where we fall on the Obama spectrum we should know that there is more work to be done. Because at the end of the day it really doesn't matter what one or two politicians think (even presidents) it matters what the public thinks because they are the ones who vote. Whether you love or hate President Obama we should be educating people about climate change, Whether you love or hate President Obama we should be telling the world about the evils of corporatism, Whether you love or hate President Obama doesn't really fucking matter. Its an interesting discussion but it real doesn't fucking matter.
We must accept the duality and move on from the constant bickering
