The Supreme Court helpfully suggested that allowing corporations to ride rough shod over their female employee's rights was AOK since there was another potential avenue that these employees could use to access to birth control, the previously created accommodation for non profit religious groups.
I'm not sure how easy it will be to expand that accommodation to women who have the misfortune to work for corporations with sincerely held religious beliefs (what a joke, it's hard to type that without a groan).
For the sake of the women who need health care, I hope it is soon but for the political value, I hope Republicans scream loudly at the dictator president who would take such a dastardly step. It would make a good addition to their lawsuit about all the outrageous acts of our imperial president.
Is there any legal justification that could be used to expand the accommodation just a bit further to provide access to the millions of women caught in the Medicaid gap?
