Hellooooooo, fellow vent hooligans! Welcome to the Fourth of July Eve IVH, live from the fun center of the spectacular Oregom Coast, Rockaway! I refuse to call it Rockaway Beach, a misguided name change made by some idiotic elected officials here in Rockaway who thought that Rockaway Oregon would somehow be confused with Rockaway, New York. First, and maybe the most important difference is that Rockaway, New York has a population of 130K, is in the borough of Queens and is like New York. Rockaway Oregon, is in Tillamook County and has a population of 1,300. Maybe. I will be in and out of here tonight, due to at the lingering effects of the tequila I drank earlier, the warm sunny day, getting thoroughly drenched by my maniacal grandson Darby and his so called "Super Nanny Soaker" and the need to get up early to secure seats for family to watch the famous Rockaway Fourth of July Parade and be in line to get the best Lemon Merangue Pie and wild blackberry pie and assorted cookies, all hand made by the ever aging Rockaway Lioness busy bakers, and oh my gawd, can they bake. I get there an hour early to make sure I'm first in line, and can shove anyone out of my way. My mouth is already watering in anticipation of those goodies. The ladies are mostly high 70's to 80's and I really hope the Lemon Merangue lady hasn't gone to lioness heaven!
Tonights show is a repeat with guests Jon Hamm and Pam Dawber
