Quite a lot is written how Europe is moving towards the extreme right, something else might be stirring
MADRID (AFP) -
The head of Spain's ascendant anti-austerity party Podemos said in an interview published Sunday he believes his movement can replace the Socialists as the country's main opposition group.
Secretary general Pablo Iglesias told Spanish daily El Pais that voters will have to choose between Podemos and the conservative ruling Popular Party (PP) -- not the veteran Socialist party -- in the November election.
"The scenario taking shape for the general election shows there will be two choices: stay with the PP or choose the political change incarnated by Podemos," Iglesias said.
A lot were worried about Golden Dawn in Greece however:
The men are to appear at a Syriza rally in Athens on Thursday, three days ahead of snap elections expected to favour Tsipras's party.
Both Syriza and Podemos are radical left wing parties.
Being the good socialist that I am.
Let's have more of it, I'm tired of the neo-liberal parties some of whom even pretend to hold socialist principles in their history, but have totally forgotten what they mean.
It's about bloody time, you have to have something new and radical to fight the fear and loathing being spewed by the extreme right and not just more corporatocracy.
