During the State of the Union, when President Obama said he had no more campaigns to run, Republicans started clapping. The President came back with "I know, I won both of them! "
The Republican round of applause was so juvenile.
What has bothered me the most is how uncivil the Congressional Republicans have been toward the President. I know some of you will say, well Democrats do the same thing. No they don't. No Democrat ever called out "You lie" during a State of the Union Address. No Democrat applauded when Bush stated this was his last term. Some of my Republican friends have posted such awful stuff about Obama on my Facebook timeline that I asked them to take it down. I know everybody crosses the line between civil discourse and disrespect once in a while, but the Republicans are completely over the line and have been for some time.
It's time to start calling them on it. Instead of fighting back by mimicking their disrespect, its time to tell them to address people respectfully. It's time to tell the Republicans that 17% of the vote is not a mandate and definitely not a mandate for trashy behavior.
