I don't know how much more racist and sexist you can get as the head of national organization than Wayne LaPierre, the head of the NRA. Link
Wayne LaPierre has a message for America: while addressing a crowd of Second Amendment advocates at the NRA’s 144th annual meeting, the NRA’s CEO and Executive Vice President said, “eight years of one demographically symbolic president is enough.”
Or, to translate from racist code to English: we’re tired of these uppity minorities; let’s make the White House white (and male) again.
In a sane world, this man would be fired. All politicians and organizations that took money from this organization should be hounded to return the money or be tainted with this blatantly racist and sexist comment. The comment made by LaPierre should be disqualify him from being a spokesperson for any respectable organization.
I do not expect any major news media organizations to care but I think it is a disgrace that this man is given a platform to spout his hate and bigotry.
Open Secrets provides a list of people and organizations that have accepted contributions from the NRA:
Republican National Cmte $32,240
National Republican Congressional Cmte $30,000
National Republican Senatorial Cmte $30,000
Republican Federal Cmte of Pennsylvania $10,000
Republican Party of Kentucky $10,000
Barrow, John $9,900
Cantor, Eric $9,900
Cochran, Thad $9,900
Coffman, Mike $9,900
Cornyn, John $9,900
Costello, Ryan $9,900
Cotton, Tom $9,900
Ernst, Joni $9,900
Goodlatte, Bob $9,900
McConnell, Mitch $9,900
Mills, Stewart $9,900
Roberts, Pat $9,900
Southerland, Steve $9,900
Tillis, Thom $9,900
Maybe each of these individuals and organizations should be asked if they are disgusted enough by such a racism that they would return the donated money back to the NRA and refuse future donations.
