Back in December 2016, when Trump was the President elect, Ford announced that they will shift their plant from Mexico to Michigan, and credited it to Trump for it. Ford’s CEO said that it is all because of the business atmosphere created by Trump’s victory. And again repeating, that was back in 2016. 8 months into his presidency, unemployment is at its lowest ever and the stock market at it’s highest ever. Trump, a successful businessman himself, is probably the best President for business in the US.
Trump is aware of his achievements and doesn’t mind bragging about them either. This is what he tweeted a while ago:
Now, online marketing giant Amazon is hiring 50,000 workers at the Amazon job fair. The job fairs would be held at Baltimore and Buffalo. 10,000 of the jobs would be part-time and the rest full time. The jobs would give benefits like tuition pre-payment and medical benefits. Since the jobs are in warehouses, the company expects its employees to trim hair and beards.
Interestingly, this is a clear case in which shows the progress of industry in the market. Amazon is in huge profit, just like most other companies. Rather, on the technical part, Amazon and Dish are moving their business towards Internet of Things. For Amazon, the focus is on drones for delivery and creating an entirely new system for it and similarly for Dish network.
As Trump lessens regulations on business, foreign industries are shifting to the US, and indigenous industries are strengthening their ventures in the country. Ford proposed to develop their electric powered cars in the US and Amazon is building technology for drones. It’s clear that the central administration won’t interfere with the process.
Another point of concern is liabilities on companies. Specifically, when accidents occur. While the company tries to recover from losses, the have to pay the government for liabilities towards the environment and other legal costs as well. This is something that prohibits companies from investing the US. The Trump government is try to improve on this.
