No Mentum and Iran: Joe's Next GOP War

Like all Bush sycophants,
Joe Lieberman has been beating the Iran war drum for some time. This from January 2006:
U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., said Monday the nation may need to take military action to force Iran to abandon its nuclear program if diplomacy and economic sanctions fail. "Obviously, the hope here is in a concerted international effort -- first in diplomacy and then, second, the use of economic sanctions," Lieberman said during a visit to Electric Boat in Groton. "But I've always believed that you cannot take the military option off the table."
The worst person in the world, O'Reilly, recognizes Joe as the Bush Cheerleader for an Iran War:
Joseph Lieberman and others do understand that danger and did not -- he did not sell out his country to pander to the anti-war vote. For that, Lieberman was defeated. Iran's betting we Americans have no will to restrain their jihad, and judging from the Connecticut vote last night, they might be right.
Joe's role as Iran warmonger for Bush is critical and why the GOP will go all out for him. More.
The Iran war drums have gotten louder
lately. As the NYTimes Ed Board says:
The last thing this country needs as it heads into this election season is another attempt to push the intelligence agencies to hype their conclusions about the threat from a Middle Eastern state.
. . . [C]hairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Peter Hoekstra of Michigan, released a garishly illustrated and luridly written document that is ostensibly dedicated to "helping the American people understand" that Iran's fundamentalist regime and its nuclear ambitions pose a strategic threat to the United States.
. . . [T]he report seems intended to signal the intelligence community that the Republican leadership wants scarier assessments that would justify a more confrontational approach to Tehran. It was not the work of any intelligence agency, or the full intelligence panel, or even the subcommittee that ostensibly drafted it. The Washington Post reported that it was written primarily by a former C.I.A. official known for his view that the assessments on Iran are not sufficiently dire.
Joe Lieberman will be critical to this drive for reckless war - as he has been throughout the Bush years.
This is a simple proposition - you want a widened war in the Middle East, a war against Iran and against our ostensible allies in Iraq, the Shia dominated Iraq government, then GOP Joe is you man.
A vote for Joe is a vote for Bush's latest debacle to be.
A vote for Joe is a vote for an Iran Debacle to be a matching set to the Iraq Debacle we already have.
Let's face it, a vote for a Joe is a vote for insanity.
