Wow. Lots of endzone dancing, declarations of Primary certainty and "ha ha ha" going on here in the last few hours. Ouch. Rather immature and embarrassing.
Ready for the bottom line numbers on Obama's crushing victory that will sweep him to the convention?
Really? It might shock you.
From CNN
Three-way split of Iowa's Democratic delegates
From tonight's caucus results CNN is projecting this delegate count:
Barack Obama: 16, Hillary Clinton: 15*, John Edwards: 14
Compare Barack's Blitzkrieg to the Huckatola's humble victory margin:
An AP analysis of Iowa's Republican caucuses estimated that Huckabee would win 30 delegates to the national convention and Romney would win 7.
Hmm...maybe the Dem nomination isn't sewn up quite yet.
We're off to NH.
Great news for All Dems/Progs/Libs: An estimated 220,588 Democrats showed up tonight, compared to 124,000 last time (04?). Compare that to tonight's estimated 114,000 ReThug caucus goers (over half said they were either born-again or evangelical Christians; urk). Me likey those numbers!
* Per AP: Clinton will win 1 more delegate than Edwards, despite getting fewer votes, because of Iowa's complicated caucus system.
