UPDATE 9:31 pm Central - statement from Phil Neuenfeldt; Pres of WI AFL-CIO:
Pro Labor Alliance Inc.
Brothers and Sisters,
Join us tomorrow, Saturday, March 10th in Madison! From across the state, working people are coming to the Capitol to proudly declare that our movement is still here, and one year longer has made us one year stronger.
One year ago, Gov. Scott Walker sought to divide Wisconsinites when he rammed his corporate sponsored anti-worker law through the state legislature. But, one year later, we are more united than ever in our shared fight to Reclaim Wisconsin from Gov. Walker’s disastrous policies.
Be there to kick off the pre-rally festivities at 1:00 p.m (on the Square ~ JV). before the speakers take the stage to start the main event at 2:00 p.m.
We’ve made it through a rough year filled with policies that chipped away at our rights as workers, voters, parents, and community members. And we know the work to reclaim the Wisconsin that we know and love is far from over.
Make sure you’ve signed and shared the Pledge to Reclaim Wisconsin so that we can continue our fight into the long haul. Only by recalling Scott Walker can we reclaim our voice in our communities, our state, and our democracy.
Again, we can’t wait to stand together with you in Madison tomorrow. While you’re there, tweet with the hashtag #ReclaimWI and share your pictures and videos by sending them to ReclaimWI@gmail.com . We’ll be posting our favorites where everyone can see them.
We’ve overcome a lot in the past year, and together, the voices of Wisconsin’s working people are only going to get stronger and louder in the year to come.
In Solidarity,
Phil Neuenfeldt, President
