On our last PPTS episode, we began a conversation about what has become identified as "The Hunger Cliff". We worked to define terms and look at the people on a few sides of the issue.
Our upcoming episode is designed to look at those forces and people who are in favor of sending the least among us over that cliff, It's a really ugly question, but one that has to be asked if we are to create positive solutions that will fairly help those who are least among us.
A further question must also be asked, and (if we are able) answered if we are to understand more completely the problems being faced.
Follow me just below the squiggledoodlethingey fold, and I'll tell you who is going to help us look at this question on our next show.

And without further ado:
A Block B Block PPTS 11/10/13
To help us unpack this complicated issue, PPTS has reached out for the very best resources we can find. In our first Hour, we will be joined by Special Guest William T. Browning, (Kossack wtbrowning), Board Director, Hunger Free Colorado. Actually it was this amazing diary on the Daily Kos that compelled PPTS to change our itenerary for this particular journey to discuss "The Hunger Cliff" sooner than originally planned. If you would like to get "up to speed" on the issue, I highly recommend his diary to your efforts prior to our show today.
Browning effectively addresses many of the lies being spun by the conservative/ultra-conservative wing of the Republican Party These and more are discounted in this exceptionally well-written diary. Browning will take us to the streets and rural communities his organization helps. He will give us a short road map moving forward with simple, yet important steps any one of us can do to participate in the solution to this widening problem among our citizenry.
C Block
At the top of our second hour, Rebekah Wilce, Director, Food and Nutrition Reporting,
Center for Media and Democracy/PRWatch.org will help us begin to tackle the question of
who is doing the pushing of American citizens these days, and help us begin to answer the question of
why such people are finding our going over
"
The Hunger Cliff" to be a good thing, in their best interests, or increase their profit.
One of the most important things Rebekah will bring to our listeners is the active and ongoing practices that are being used or implemented, even this very day, by those who would gladly see as many Americans as possible plunge over "The Hunger Cliff". Shocking may be an overstatement for our listeners. But reality must be where these actors must be addressed if we are to become the change we seek.
D Block-End of Episode
The last portion of our show will take us to the streets of North Carolina, where we will hear the "right now" stories of those directly affected by the policies being promulgated by their local, state and federal governments. Truly "man on the streets" reporting is one of my highest goals for any episode of PPTS. My thanks to Coffee Party USA Communications Director, a filmmaker currently shooting a documentary on this very issue in the states of Virginia and North Carolina. Documentary subjects will join us to tell their personal story about "The Hunger Cliff" right now, where they are living.
This is going to be a power-packed show. I do truly hope you will choose to be with us on this episode. Bring us your comments, questions, suggestions, ideas, and solutions which we, as Citizens could bring to this pervasive problem in America today.
We're on the air!
We'll see YOU there!
