Obviously something Don't Not Compute in the waters of Mississippi because a Tea Partier got beaten by a K-Street Mainstreamer Republican. After Eric Cantor, that's not supposed to happen anymore, but it did.
And brother does it sting to the Conservos. Something nefarious must have occurred. Something untoward. Something like A.C.O.R.N.ghazi or "The Darkies Be Votin'!"
"I wonder what the campaign slogan was in Mississippi the past few days, 'Uncle Toms for Thad'? Because I thought it was the worst thing you could do as an African American, vote for a Republican. The worst thing you could do," Limbaugh said on Wednesday. "But somehow they were made to believe that voting for old Thad would be fine and dandy. And why? Because they were told Thad's done a lot for black people in Mississippi. Must be the first time they were told that."
Yes, must be the first time. Oh and just what was one of those things Thad promised to do for Black people in Mississippi? Could it be, promise not to try and
block their access to voting?
But others were more direct and pointed in their criticism of Cochran. Matt Drudge, for instance, posted a link to a New York Times story with the line "Black vote used." Another link on Drudge said "The flier 'that got Cochran elected'..." and linked to a National Review blog post on Wednesday reporting that a flyer that had allegedly been circulated in heavily black precincts of Mississippi that was titled: "The Tea Party intends to prevent blacks from voting on Tuesday."
Because it's not like the Tea Party has ever opposed Voting Rights, particularly for Black People other than when THEY HAVE, including taking the issue to the Supreme Court and having
Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act Suspended.
But lets not bring up (fairly recent) history when it's just so obvious that any votes that are cast by black hands just have Got to Be Fraudulent!
And from Sarah Palin...
"When an election is questionable, with potential legal violations, politics MUST be put aside and the irregularities MUST be fully investigated," Palin wrote on Facebook. "Regardless of party, we owe it to voters and to democracy within our Republic. The integrity of the vote speaks directly to the integrity of those who serve and the trust we ask the American public to put in our institutions."
And what irregularities were there other than the fact Cochran won in an open primary where Democrats - even the dark hued ones - can also vote?
Nothing.
Just that "Darkies be Votin'!" and that has to be a crime now isn't it?
You want to kow how much it sticks in the Conservative Craw that Cochran dared to win his primary by using Facts to appeal to All of the Electorate not just the shiny semi-happy entitled jealous paranoid tea baggin' pale ones?
Glenn Beck started firing Guns over it.
Glenn Beck got so frustrated with Republicans over Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel's (R) loss to incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) in the primary runoff election for U.S. Senate that he got up in the middle of his radio program and walked outside to shoot a rifle.
Beck, who was broadcasting his radio show from his ranch on Wednesday, posted a video of his little break on Instagram.
"Stress release on the ranch. That's how we do it out west!" Beck said as he hands his rifle to somebody off camera and walks back inside.
On his radio broadcast, Beck went on a long rant about how establishment Republicans didn't want McDaniel to get elected.
"They are more comfortable with the president's policies than they are with Chris McDaniel!" Beck said. "That doesn't make any sense!"
Because destructive gun-therapy was such an effective tool for the family of Adam Lanza, let's all now give it a try whenever we can't handle bad news?
There was a point in time, not so very long ago, that Republicans seemed to know how the open-primary system worked. They understood the concept of strategic voting to promote a candidate that you really didn't want simply in order to weaken another candidate. I know that they knew it because they spent much of the 2008 Primary Season doing exactly that - they even had a name for it - Operation Chaos.
Melanie Kerr is an Indiana voter we met over the weekend at the "Orchard In Bloom" festival.
She was looking forward to casting her ballot for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY.
But she doesn’t like Clinton.
She likes Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
She’s a Republican.
So why was she planning on voting in Indiana’s open Democratic primary?
“I want to keep the primary going as long as possible,” Kerr said. “I want to keep a debate going between the two of them…. Obama would have been untouched in my opinion if she didn’t stay in the race. Then her staying in longer and even longer than (her attacks) will be in people’s minds in Democratic people’s minds when November comes around.”
It isn’t that Kerr thinks Clinton would be easier than Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, for McCain to defeat in the Fall. It’s the idea that with Clinton “in there, that keeps the debate between them going and we get more, uh, more chaos.”
Kerr giggles. “That’s the name — Operation Chaos.”
And Limbaugh in particular ought to remember this - it was
his idea.
“Operation Chaos was born primarily for the purpose assuming Obama was going to be the nominee at the get-go of this,” Limbaugh explained on his show. “He needs to be bloodied up politically since McCain is not going to do it. Since the Republican Party is not going to be on the field in this way, somebody’s gotta bloody up Obama. The only person that can do it is Hillary, and she can’t do it if she’s not in the race — and so the purpose was Operation Chaos was to keep her in the race and to have her bloody up Obama in the process of staying in the race.”
So apparently when White Tea Party members go off and Vote for Hillary Clinton just to oppose
that Dark Guy Barack Obama, that's just fine and dandy - not skullduggery - but when Democrats and
Darkies vote against the Tea Party candidate - SoMETHInG Is WRONG in DENMARK and the matter must be Investigated!
Guns have to be fired.
People have to be called "Uncle Tom" because why else would they vote for White People except for when there's a White Democrat (like Bill Clinton) or a Latino Democrat (like Bill Richardson or either of the Castro Brothers) or a Asian Democrat (like Senator Inouye) on the ballot - because other than all of those times and every other time they can they never vote for anyone but other Black people, see?
Right Cuz, y'know whenever "Darkies be Votin'!" it's just nothing but wrongy wrong sauce.
