My daughter took her dogs on their usual morning walk like she has done for years. Also on the walk was my 15 month old grandson along a trail in central Florida under a power line right of way. Someone shot one of her dogs. Fortunately he missed and just shot her through one of her front legs. My daughter was able to see a blue baseball cap over some tall bushes. The dog limped along and finally laid down. She got her truck and drove to the dog to pick her up and take her to the vet.
Police are not involved yet - she needed to get the dog to the vet then take care of the airbag recall appointment, but they will be.
So thankful that she or my grandson were not hit. What drives people to shoot animals or people on a public right of way for no reason?
