When you own 858 radio stations with $20 billion (yes, billion) in debt, cratering revenues and no chance to revive a dying business, you do everything you can to skip bankruptcy, like swapping debt.
iHeart Radio is a massive octopus of media companies. One of it’s biggest chunks is Premiere Radio Networks, distributor of such hellmouth yakker dreck as Hannity, Back and Limbaugh.
It seems iHeart Radio’s creditors don’t like the debt plan as they’ve taken the company to court. I’ll detail that story as well as a deepread on Franklin Foer’s Slate masterpiece on the fixer behind Trump’s throne: Paul Manafort. He’s made a career reshaping tyrants, dictators and torturers. You can guess what he’ll do with Donald Trump.
And there’s more. Much more.
