I was inspired after seeing the Democracy in Color forum hosted by Joy Reid.
I haven’t seen a diary about this candidate yet but I was hoping to let the community know there are other options outside of Perez or Ellison!! It may sound silly but it’s the first time someone in democratic leadership looks like me, talks like me, and has a similar background; daughter of African Immigrants, grew up in a Republican stronghold, etc.
She is also an excellent brand messenger.
After an historic year and devastating losses up and down the ballot, it is women who are are stepping up to protect the rights and freedom of every American. We are organizing, taking action, and marching to demonstrate our opposition to the next administration’s hurtful, hateful policies. It is critical that the debate over the future of the Democratic Party reflects this energy -- transforming the party and the country cannot be done without us. Elect Jehmu Greene as DNC chair.
